May 6, 2019 - Happy National Nurses Week, 2019! Every year, nurses are recognized and celebrated for their hard work and dedication to their career and patients. In 1954, Ronald Reagan honored Florence Nightingale for her bravery during the Crimean War, which is where she led a team of nurses to tend to the wounded and ill soldiers. Known as the “Lady with the Lamp,” Nightingale would make rounds every night to ensure her patients were stable. By doing so, she assisted in reducing the hospital’s death rate by two-thirds. Now, nurses are celebrated from May 6 until Nightingale’s birthday on May 12 for all that they do in their career.
Dedicated Nursing Associates would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all our dedicated nurses, nursing assistants, and all other caregivers for everything they do for their patients. Nurses truly are the heart of healthcare and we appreciate all your hard work and dedication every day. You go above and beyond what is expected to ensure positive experiences to each life that you touch. Thank you for all that you do!
