Nurses Win a Wrangler Giveaway Winner!
August 29, 2022 – Dedicated Nursing Associates, Inc. held our third car giveaway contest from March 1st, 2021, to March 1st, 2022. Like our previous Lexus and Rover giveaways, DNA’s Nurses Win a Wrangler Contest was open for all nurses and nursing assistants to enter across the U.S.
Nurses by nature are selfless and dedicated individuals. They are the heart of healthcare. The Nurses Win a Wrangler Giveaway is a way for DNA to show appreciation for all that healthcare workers embody; hard work, selflessness, and dedication to improving the lives of others.
Our winner, Derika C. from Halifax, Virginia was randomly chosen to win a new Jeep Wrangler out of 3,372 contest entries. She has been a Licensed Practical Nurse for 18 years as of April 2022. The DNA Marketing and STAR teams called Derika on April 1st to fill her in on the exciting news that she was the winner chosen for this year’s contest! Upon hearing the good news, she exclaimed, “I never win anything!” To that, we told her, “You won today!”
After letting Derika know that she was our winner, the DNA Marketing Team began working with North Point Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to find Derika her dream Jeep Wrangler.
On July 12, 2022, DNA’s Marketing Team traveled to the dealership in Greensboro, North Carolina to give Derika the keys to her new 2022 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4x4.
While there with her, we got to know our winner a bit better! Her mom, who is also a nurse, inspired her career choice. The residents, patients, education, and seeing the changes in people’s conditions are her favorite parts about nursing. When asked what advice she would give to new nurses just starting out, Derika advised, “Take notes, take lots of notes, and listen to those that have been in the field of nursing... don't be offended, they have some secrets and some tips!” Finally, we wanted to know, “Where is the first place you're going to go with your new Jeep?” She laughs, “Home!”
DNA is incredibly thankful for all that nurses do. We are happy to recognize Derika for all her hard work and dedication to the healthcare field and to those that she cares for. Congratulations, Derika!
